ABSTRACT
This is a case report of a male patient diagnosed with ischemic stroke with right sided hemiplegia. The aim was to show that homoeopathic therapy can treat hemiplegia.

INTRODUCTION
A stroke is a medical emergency. There are two types – ischemic and hemorrhagic. Ischemic stroke is the most common type. It is usually caused by a blood clot that blocks or plugs a blood vessel in the brain. This blocks blood from flowing to the brain. Within minutes, brain cells begin to die. Another cause is stenosis, or narrowing of the artery. This can happen because of atherosclerosis. Transient ischemic attacks (TIAs) occur when the blood supply to the brain is interrupted briefly.
Symptoms of stroke are-Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg (especially on one side of the body), Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding speech, Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes, Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination and Sudden severe headache with no known cause.
Hemiplegia is caused by an injury to the parts of the brain that control movement,resulting in
the inability to control the voluntary movement of a muscle or a group of muscles.
It is often accompanied by Muscle spasticity , Muscle atrophy (loss of muscle strength), Seizures and Pain. Causes include-
Vascular – Cerebral hemorrhage, Stroke, Diabetic Neuropathy.
Infective – Encephalitis, Meningitis, Brain abscess.
Neoplastic – Glioma – meningioma.
Demyelination – Disseminated sclerosis, lesions to the Internal capsule.
Traumatic – Cerebral lacerations, Subdural Hematoma, local anaesthsia injections given intraarterially.
Congenital– Cerebral palsy.
Disseminated – Multiple Sclerosis.
Psychological – Parasomnia (Nocturnal hemiplegia).

PERSONAL DATA
Name of patient: Mr. S.K; Age: 35 years; Sex: Male; Marital Status: Married
PRESENTING COMPLAINTS
Patient complains of sudden weakness and numbness of whole right side. Paralysis of right side of face with unconsciousness. Not able to use his right hand or leg or perform daily activties. Head hot and rest of the body is cold. Patient is taking allopathic treatment for this complaint.
HISTORY OF PRESENTING COMPLAINTS
Patient was apparently well till 19/11/2020, on 20/11/2020 suffered sudden weakness and loss of motor activities on the right side of body after a argument in family. Got very angry. Patient got sudden high blood pressure during the attack, that triggered the weakness. He has history of alcoholism.

MENTAL GENERALS
Unconsciousness but when questions asked, replied them correctly then again falls back unconscious. Unable to do work actively….
Desires Company
Sad and worried due to family problems. Mental stress excessive.

CONCLUSION
Homoeopathic medicine selected on the basis of principles of Hahnemann proved to be very effective in case of ischemic stroke with hemiplegia and showed good improvement.
