About Homeopathy
• Homeopathy is a scientific system of medicine which was successfully known for the past 200 years. It was founded by Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann M.D.
• Homeopathy works on the principle known as the Law of Similars – the idea that
“like cures like”. It is based on Hahnemann`s discovery that a natural substance is capable of creating symptoms in a healthy persons during proving is also capable of curing the same symptoms that matches in a disease condition.
• According to homeopathic natural law “when two (disease and medicine) very similar dynamic affections meet in a living organism, the stronger (i.e Homeopathic medicine) extinguishes the weaker (disease) . This is the law of similars upon which every real cure is based”.
• Homeopathy considers the totality of symptoms(both physical, mental and emotional) as a whole to treat patient and thus homeopathy individualizes the patient.
• Homeopathy treats underlying weaknesses and susceptibilities to the disease process by assessing through an interview process the state of one’s mental, emotional and physical well being. The idea behind Homeopathy, as an alternative or complementary medical system, is that small doses of a substance can be used to stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanism.
